The study of bird's nest structure with Synchrotron Light

Bird's nest has main nutrients for consumers; there are various types of glycoprotein, which help to repair body and get more immune system. Moreover, bird's nest also consists of approximately 27% carbohydrates, which provide energy to consumers, especially the acrylic acid found in primary breast milk. Therefore, bird’s nest helps in learning process, memory and brain development.

The study of the swallow’s nest structure each period of a year from same group of swallows, that studied and researched by Asst. Prof. Dr. Niranon Matan, he is lecturer in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering in Engineering and Resources at Walailak University,co-worker with the research team of the Synchrotron Light Research Institute. Case study at Nakhon Ratchasima province. The result of research is saliva molecules in the swallows' nest are organized into layers of orderly molecules.

So, bird’s nest molecules structure have different of structure and bird’s nest components each season. The results of the study will help determine the quality of the bird's nest in each season.
